2018 Syrah, Tinaquaic Vineyard

"The 2018 Syrah Tinaquaic Vineyard is fabulous. It has also just been bottled, so I won't be surprised if it shows even better over time. Super-expressive inky red/purplish fruit, gravel, lavender, cedar and sweet pipe tobacco add myriad shades of complexity. A dollop (10%) of whole clusters and a 8% co-fermented Viognier help shape the 2018. The tannins need time to soften, but I imagine the 2018 will remain a wine of energy and vibrancy.
