92-95 Points - Antonio Galloni, Vinous

"The 2016 Cuvée Jeanne Marie, Foxen's GSM blend, is outrageously beautiful. Sensual, racy and perfumed, the Cuvée Jeanne Marie has a lot to offer. This is an especially racy, flamboyant Grenache-based wine, and yet all the elements are wonderfully woven together."

92 Points - Wine Spectator, Tim Fish

"Refined and expressive, with floral raspberry, smoky butter and orange zest flavors that build tension toward polished tannins. Grenache, Mourvedre and Syrah. Best from 2020 through 2026. 318 cases made. - TF"

"Combines elegance and brooding power, offering layered blueberry, spiced cinnamon and smoked meat accents that dance on a long finish, ending with refined tannins. Drink now through 2026. 400 cases made. - TF"

91 - 94 Points - Antonio Galloni, Vinous

"The 2016 Syrah Williamson-Doré Vineyard is another hugely promising wine in the Foxen stable. Ripe, dense and racy, the 2016 is showing beautifully from barrel today. There is more than enough textural intensity and persistence to support many years of fine drinking. As always, the Williamson-Doré is the more fruit-driven and overt of the two Foxen Syrahs."

91 Points - Wine Advocate

“Medium to deep ruby-purple, the 2016 Syrah Williamson-Doré Vineyard has a dense nose of wild blackberries, blueberries, boysenberry, black cherries, olive, charcuterie, bitter chocolate and a coffee hint. Medium to full-bodied, it packs in the dark fruits in the mouth with savory accents to frame, firm, chewy tannins and good freshness on the finish.”

"The 2015 Syrah Tinaquaic Vineyard (there's 7% Viognier in the blend) sports a seriously inky purple color as well as a beautiful bouquet of blackberries, blueberries, crushed rocks, camphor, and ground pepper. This beauty is medium to full-bodied, has remarkable purity of fruit, and building structure, all while still carrying plenty of fruit and richness. It's going to benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age and cruise for a decade or more. It's a brilliant Syrah."

94 Points - Antonio Galloni, Vinous

"The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Los Potreros is wonderfully polished and nuanced. Super-ripe dark plum, chocolate, licorice, leather, smoke and tobacco are all pushed forward. Although not especially subtle, the 2015 delivers the goods on a racy, up-front style that holds considerable near and medium term appeal."

93 Points - Wine Enthusiast

"Hearty black plum and blackberry sauce show on the nose of this excellent bottling along with black pepper, lilacs, black cardamom, lamb and rosemary. It's soft and polished on the palate, with a creamy texture that tightens toward the finish, showing black currant, plum skin acidity and leathery game flavors."

91 Points - Wine Advocate

"Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2015 Syrah Tinaquaic Vineyard offers notes of warm black currants and baked black berries with touches of anise, underbrush, black soil and chargrill. Medium-bodied, with a firm, taut structure of grippy tannins and lively acid, it offers plenty of earth, pepper and baked black berry flavor layers and a long finish."
